National Bavarian Crêpes Day!

TODAY is National Bavarian Crêpes Day.  This day is observed annually on March 22nd.

I love crêpes for breakfast, especially with some Nutella and bananas.  But today is all about Bavarian Crêpes and I never tried one.   I tried to research Bavarian Crêpes, but there is not much information out there.

Bavarian Crêpes are a delicious and popular dessert that originated in Bavaria, a region in southern Germany. They are a variation of traditional French crêpes and are typically filled with a rich and creamy Bavarian cream, which is made with whipped cream, eggs, sugar, and vanilla.

To make Bavarian Crêpes, thin pancakes are first cooked on a hot griddle or in a non-stick pan. Then, a generous spoonful of Bavarian cream is placed in the center of each crêpe, and the edges are folded over to form a neat package. The crêpes can be served warm or chilled, and are often garnished with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar.

These crepes are a delicious treat that is perfect for special occasions or as a sweet indulgence any time of the day. They are a popular menu item at many bakeries and cafes in Bavaria and have also gained popularity in other parts of the world due to their unique and irresistible taste.

Since I have not much to say about Bavarian Crêpes, just celebrate this day by making one if you find a recipe online, somehow you can find some recipes for Bavarian Crêpes out there and try to make them the way you like them, and don’t forget to share on social media.
